  • Rea View Principal Donna Cook was chosen as the 2011-12 Union County Public Schools Principal of the Year.

  • Trevor Althof, a first-grade teacher in the Global Gateway program at Kensington Elementary, has been named the 2012 International Educator of the Year.

Poplin's Ball Handling Club performs before Bobcats' game

The Poplin Elementary School Ball Handling Club had the chance to show off their ball handling skills on April 17, 2013, when they performed their  routines before the Charlotte Bobcats game. Poplin's team recently won the county competition for the second year in a row. The county competition was held at the Central Academy of Arts and Technology in Union County on April 13, 2013.

Art for Good

 On Saturday, March 23, students and families from Rea View Elementary, Marvin Elementary, Marvin Ridge Middle, and Marvin Ridge High came together for the first annual Art for Good charity art show event. Entirely student led, the art show featured over 50 pieces of art created by selected students from the Marvin Ridge cluster schools. Dana King, a student at Marvin Ridge High School, and Rea View's art teacher, Kara Batchelder, worked together to plan for Rea View's participation in the event. Artwork was sold through a silent bidding process to support the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.
